Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC ) traded near $81,400 on Friday, little changed on the day and roughly where it ended last week, after a 3.2% slide on Thursday as equity markets weakened on renewed concerns about financing for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The price stood at $81,367 late afternoon. The 24-hour high was about $82,265, and an overnight low of $80,989 followed Thursday’s low of $80,840. Bitcoin remains inside the $80,000 to $87,000 range it has held in recent weeks.
AI-linked stocks drove the pressure. CoreWeave (NASDAQ: $CRWV ) traded near $55 on Friday, down about 1%, after plunging 10% on Thursday to a 52-week low of $53.50. The stock has fallen roughly 37% in October and is on track for a third straight weekly loss. Bernstein cut its price target to $51 from $74, and Morgan Stanley lowered its target to $70 from $99.
